The Women's Amateur Championship is one of the leading championships in amateur golf for female golfers.
The championship, founded in 1893, attracts an international field with an impressive list of former winners including McCormack Medal winner Leona Maguire and major champions Georgia Hall and Anna Nordqvist.
The winner gains entry to the AIG Women’s Open, US Women’s Open, The Amundi Evian Championship, Chevron Championship and by tradition, an invite to compete at Augusta National Women's Amateur Championship.
Paula Martin Sampedro claimed victory in The 122nd Women's Amateur Championship at Nairn in June 2025, the Spaniard edging out the USA's Farah O'Keefe 2&1 in a fabulous 36-hole final that saw both players excel.
